While the building was clad with stucco in the 60's to prevent condensation, the building could be rehabbed to restore the original handmade brick. Below are some examples of what this looks like for buildings of the era in different regions.
Potential and Comparative Structures

Our Proposal
Our proposal is simple, DO build the much needed parking garage and DO make the needed safety and mobility improvements to this critical district. DO also leave this piece of history undisturbed as it is not truly needed for the parking deck project.
The current plan from the city would have the historic building converted into a small number of surface parking spots and plaza directly adjacent to the new parking garage. We are a city on the move, but not moving fast enough to justify erasing history for parking and a plaza.
We believe that the building could remain as the Masonic Lodge or at a minimum be saved and repurposed in keeping with this structure's long history with adaptive reuse.
Interestingly, as private citizens of Roswell, we would not be permitted by law to demolish this structure. The City is attempting to simply ignore the very rules they set for us.
